Fresh Fruit Tart
Cookie Crust, Cream Cheese Spread, Fresh Fruit, Glaze
400° at 8 minutes
1 c. flour
¼ c. sugar
½ t. almond extract
½ c. butter or margarine
1 beaten egg yolk
¼ t. vanilla
Mix thoroughly and press into a pizza pan or other tart pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes or until slightly golden
Cream cheese spread
Beat 1 package of with a little sugar (¼ c.) and ¼ t. almond extract until it is whipped and spreadable. Spread on cooled crust.
Cut a variety of fruit into small pieces and arrange over the cream cheese on the tart.
2 T. concentrated Orange Juice (frozen concentrate)
4 oz (½ c.) apricot jam
¾ c. water
1 T. corn starch
a dash of light rum or brandy
Put all ingredients in a small – medium saucepan and cook down until it is slightly thickened. Cool and then spoon over tart.
Chill until you serve. Serve within one day.
