Gingersnaps

1-1/2 cups shortening

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup molasses (I used dark)

2 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. ground cinnamon

2 tsp. ground cloves

2 tsp. ground ginger (substitute 3-5 pieces crystallized ginger processed in blender jar with molasses)

4 cups flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add molasses and dry ingredients. Roll dough into 1" balls. Dip in sugar. Bake on

greased cookie sheet for 15-18 minutes.
