SNOWBALLS (aka russian tea cakes)

2-1/2 c. flour

1/2 c. powdered sugar

1/2 pound butter (1 cup)

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup ground or finely chopped nuts -- almonds or pecans or a combo

Mix all ingredients together with hands until well blended (you can use the food processor).

Form into small balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheet about 25 minutes until

bottoms of cookies are gold. Cool. Roll in additional powdered sugar.

Note: this makes a relatively small batch. Doubling is suggested.
